Our Story

Rat in the Kitchen was born from a family conversation.

We are the Sainsbury family, a hardworking family from Venezuela that has been living in the United States for almost ten years. Even though we have always worked hard, we felt like something was missing. We wanted to build something together that truly motivated and excited us.

One night, while sitting in the backyard talking about business ideas, dreams, and possible ventures, everything changed. After hours of conversation, a song called Rat in Mi Kitchen started playing, and that was the moment everything clicked. We looked at each other and said:

“Rat in the Kitchen.”

The name had personality, energy, and a connection to pickleball from the very beginning. For us, playing like a rat in the kitchen means being intelligent, competitive, unpredictable, and fearless. It means finding ways to win, adapting, and playing with character.

From the start, we knew we did not want to create just another pickleball brand. We wanted to build something modern, minimalist, and with its own identity. A brand people could connect with both on and off the court.

And honestly, this is only the beginning.
